Alise was spoken to by the powers of spirit in Nature at the young age of nine. She has seen spirit beings especially in Nature for most of her life and is a natural psychic. Alise studied and trained in Seidr. A Norse form of seership. She has given readings and conducted the vardlohkkur in seidr ritual. What can I expect from my reading with you?
I like to combine practical and spiritual, psychic guidance in the readings. I ask the client if they have any specific questions or if they want a general reading. I also encourage the clients to contemplate the issue they are considering during the reading. So they are engaged and contribute to the reading. I will interpret the cards and in what aspect that influences the questions and issues that the client wished to consider in the reading.
Describe your journey into the psychic world
At the age of nine I was on a walk in the countryside. I sat on a wall in a field of long grass I fell into a trance state and saw that the field was the sea and the wall was a ship. I found a sapling( a young tree) and put it into a jar saying 'This will be my god it is the god of nature'. As an adult i went to do research amongst Sami indigenous people in Norway. When I was walking back to my accommodation I became entranced by a rock on the river bank. The rock seemed really animated then I heard the rock tell me that it had a spirit and that everything in nature had a spirit and was alive.
What prompted you to start giving readings?
After I had my spiritual awakening as a adult in Norway I began to follow my true spiritual path. I learnt and studied meditation in psychic development and was interested in learning to read the tarot but read that you should be given the cards. My friend bought me my first tarot pack as well as runes for a new years gift. I joined groups studying shamanic ritual and practiced trance work and mediumship.
What are your experience and qualifications?
I gave tarot readings as the swanage psychic fayre several years in a row. I was a tarot reader at 'retail therapy' in Brighton 2013/2014. I did MA 2007 and mphil 2017 which covered Sami indigenous people in Scandinavia and Russia shamanic ritual tradition and chanting. During my fieldwork there in Scandinavia I gave independent tarot readings, psychometry and healing.
What is your most memorable psychic experience?
When my grandmother died I went home to my parents house and many of her things were there. In the right I was awoken by a knocking on the shelf and an alarm which went off. It was my alarm clock. I got up and was looking at some of her things which were in the room. When i heard a voice calling my name. I looked around and heard her telling me not to worry she was going to be alright and then she said goodbye. I then saw a cloud like shape like moved around darting and then swiftly darted off leaving. This was my grandmothers astral body she needed to say goodbye and was able to leave once having done so.
How do you use the tarot cards as a spiritual tool?
I read and interpret the cards using psychic intuitive impressions from the images in the cards. These can be enhanced by clairvoyant visual images that I can see from spirit messages.
How do you interpret the tarot cards to focus on love?
When romantic issues come up in a card reading. I draw the cards with that focus and intention. Certain cards have romantic connections but all the cards can give signs which tell the relevant information to each individual circumstance in the love story.
How do the spirits show themselves to you?
I have been seeing spiritual being since I was a child. I use a form of trance mediumship where I go into the world of the spirit realm and the spirits then reveal the story by sending images, signs and telling this information. I have also seen the spirit beings in form of my grandmother 's astral, ancestors have spoken to me called my name when visiting the graves. I saw fairy/elves, giants and various other world beings while in nature.
How do your visions manifest themselves?
I have experience of trance mediumship and path working, meditation so I can connect to spirit when in nature where impressions and visual story will be relayed to me by the spiritual realms.
How does spiritual healing flow through you?
I was taught 'hands on healing' and remote healing when I attended a Wiccan group. You need to focus and breathe the healing energy which you then send to there person who needs healing. I was going away to Norway and he leaders of the Wiccan group did a farewell ceremony for me. We held hands and I felt a healing energy transfer between us from both the leaders. They transferred the healing power to me and I always reconnect to this same healing energy when giving healing.
How can the runes define our past, present and future?
My journey with the runes came from studying the rune poems which I have put to music and the rune stances a form of Runic yoga. I have Norwegian ancestry and use rune cards in my tarot reading which enhances the reading with some additional and alternative view.
What is the importance of spirituality in your life and how do you convey it in your readings?
The spirit of nature is the most important for me. I practice a nature based spirituality which is fundamental to who I am worship of ancestral spirits and other world beings such as the fairy folk and nature based deities are the core of my belief system and my life journey. They influence my creative expression in music, poetry, theatre. I encourage the clients to go into nature to connect to the spirit of nature by meditating using imagination, deep breathing and dreaming, by the trees.
